Tools that keep your files yours.
DNM is made by Falcrex Systems Inc, a small team in Vancouver, BC. We build local-first software for people who handle a lot of files and care where those files go.
Why we built DNM
DNM grew out of EMP Intake, our evidence-intake tool. Over and over, the hardest part of getting files into a case was not the case software. It was the filenames: inconsistent, cryptic, and unsafe for SharePoint. So we pulled the naming layer out into its own app, gave it a clean review workflow, and built it for everyone, not just investigators.
We kept one rule from the start: your files never leave your machine. DNM names files locally on Windows, with no cloud and no AI in the core workflow. The only things that touch the internet are license activation and validation, and update checks.

Brendan has spent fifteen years on the front line of physical security and incident response. The hardest part of that work was almost never the case itself. It was the files: named three different ways, scattered across shared drives, impossible to find when they mattered most.
He started in technical support at a Fortune 500 security company and left as a Senior Technical Support Escalation Specialist, owning the hardest cases under strict SLAs. When a video, access-control, or integrated security system broke in the field, it reached his desk.
From there he moved into corporate security and IT leadership in regulated environments: Head of Security, then Director of Security and IT, across Health Canada licensed operations. Brendan investigated internal and external thefts, wrote reports for law enforcement and regulators, and kept records straight across multiple sites. He did not read about messy file names in a whitepaper. He lived in the folders where it broke down.
DNM is the naming layer he wished he had on those cases: clear, consistent file names applied locally, before the mess starts.

Before co-founding Falcrex, Jason spent seven years at a Fortune 500 organization in video surveillance and access control. He worked his way up from the support desk to Senior Manager of technical support and product escalation for the Americas, where the toughest escalations landed on his team.
That work put him alongside investigators, attorneys, and IT teams who all paid the same tax: hours lost to files nobody could find or trust, because nobody had agreed on how to name them. He heard firsthand what good looked like from the people whose work depended on getting it right.
One thread runs through all of it: knowing where systems break down, where documentation fails, and where small, boring habits like naming a file the same way every time save people real hours. DNM turns that habit into one keystroke.
